Did you know there's a small town outside of San Antonio, Texasthat's
converted a nursing home into a shelter for illegals? At first I I
objected, however, upon visiting the facility, I found every single illegal
there were children. Yesss, CHILDREN!!

They literally escaped from their home country leaving family or having had
family killed in uprisings to find a new life in America. Their stories
were of determination and courage.

What are we doing with them? Are we helping them realize their dream?
No, not at all.

We're sending them back --- no home to return to. Someare
considered traitors in their country and will be executed or sent to
prison. These are CHILDREN as young as 9 & as old as 16.

Of course, my maternal instinct kicked in and I wanted to bring them all
homewith me. I asked how one went about getting guardianship,
sponsoring them, adopting them. I was told they ineligible because they
had no documentation. I was asked to donate luggage so they could be sent back
with a change of clothes.

These places are hidden (for the children's protection I was told) all over
this country. Do we hear it on the news? Not a
whisper........ I left sick at heart and ashamed of the "system".
This country has evolved to a societythinking they are entitled to
whatever they want and not having to earn it.

Think about those kiddos risking their lives to come to America, the land
of opportunity, the next time you hear about another freebie program.
There ARE people in this world that want to earn the privilege of being an
Americanyet we turn them away. How does that make YOU feel?
